~Classes Tai Qi is a Chinese exercise that stresses the use of the mind not force. Its quality is in its stillness and slow movements, which integrate mind and body. Participants gain strength, flexibility and vitality through instruction in postures and breathing methods. Students of all fitness level are encouraged to join.
~Teachers Lawrence Academy of Tai Qi Instructors have been trained under Sijo Sean Holzhüter and have 6-10 years of training in Tai Qi and traditional internal arts. Instruction is facilitated with learning and enjoyments as priorities.
~Session Dates Tuesday classes: session begins: Jan. 10 7:15-8:15pm Tai Qi I
Saturday classes: sessions begin: Jan. 14 10:30-11:30 Tai Qi I
11:45-12:45 Tai Qi II* 1:00-1:30 Qi Kung*
*Tai Qi II and Qi Kung are by teacher recommendation only. Returning students having missed 3 or more classes will meet with a teacher prior to re-entry into TQII.
~Fees and policies Session Registration: $80/session (8 weeks) Students and Seniors: $72/session Pay-as-you-go fee is $11/class. (returnees only) Checks payable to Lawrence Academy of Tai Qi. Drop-in Policy: Drop-ins/Pay-As-You-Go are not accepted for new students (that is: students who have not completed a full 8 week session). We invite new students to observe the first class of a session. All students having completed Tai Qi I are welcome to drop-in to any Tai Qi I class. Drop-in fee for returnees, registered in another class, is $8/class; otherwise drop-in fee for returnees is considered Pay-as-you-go ($11/class)
